MSD Varsity and Middle School Cross Country made history on Saturday September 19th, officially competing in the first-ever cross country meet in school history! They competed in the Holly - Duane Raffin Festival of Races in Davisburg.

The varsity squad tackled the grueling 5K (3.1 miles) course. Taraji led the varsity squad with a blazing time of 26:28.1. This instantly earns Taraji the 32nd national ranking among all deaf school runners in the country! Damien showed incredible grit and endurance, crossing the finish line at 38:29.6. Damien’s run secures the 49th national ranking in the country for deaf schools!

The middle school runners crushed their 2-mile race: Finnegan set a phenomenal pace, crossing the finish line with a 2-mile time of 19:47.3. Zarah followed closely behind with an excellent, high-energy performance, clocking in at 21:16.6.
