The FIA is having an event! It’s called Artful Minds: A Seminar on how art impacts the mind. This free event includes a lecture from Dr. Amy Elliott and Meghan Brady Young from Miami University's OMA program. The lecture will focus on Opening Minds through Art: Supporting Cognitive Change through Creativity and Connection.

The day includes a free lunch for all pre-registered participants. The day ends with your choice of one of eight workshops ranging from collages, glass suncatchers, printmaking, clay pinch pots, paint & pastels, a gallery learning experience, a workshop for people with memory loss and their care partners, and, if you're not interested in art-making, a workshop from the Alzheimer's Association on Building Healthy Brain Habits.

An interpreter is provided for the main event. Make sure you request an interpreter when signing up for your choice of workshop at the end.

Registration is now open on the FIA website
