The Michigan Department of Education - Low Incidence Outreach (MDE-LIO) will once again offer LIVE with LIO webinars for the 2023-2024 school year.
These webinars are for school personnel, families, and others supporting students in Michigan who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH). This year, each Live with LIO webinar will be available in our MDE-LIO Video Library.
The webinars listed below will be held from 12-1 p.m. on the scheduled date.
September 19: Supporting Deaf Education in Michigan
November 28: Engaging Ways to Build Literacy Skills
February 20: Assistive Technology for DHH
March 19: Supporting Transition Needs in High School and Beyond
April 16: Supporting Communication for Students Who Are DHH-Plus
An American Sign Language interpreter and captioning will be provided for each webinar. For participants who require other accommodations, it is important to request an accommodation at least three weeks prior to each webinar. Outside agencies MDE-LIO contracts with to provide accommodations cannot guarantee services if requests are made in less than three weeks.
