Chess Tournament!

Hey MSD Middle/High School students! Love chess? Then this is the tournament for you!

All the games will take place on and most matches will be broadcasted on ZOOM for friends/staff/family to watch and enjoy. It will be a single elimination match [10 minute controls/ 1 game takes all] until the Final Four. The losers of the semi-finals will play for third place. There were some concerns regarding privacy and the use of ZOOM. If a student does not want to be on ZOOM (they do not to be on ZOOM), and if he/she does not want the match broadcasted for privacy reasons, it will be respected too.
This tournament will be open for Middle School/High School students  (with sign ups until May 29th and games starting June 1st.) RIT/NTID have been extremely generous and will be offering prizes for: 1st place; 2nd place; and 3rd place.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Scott (email on flyer). Once registration is over, competitors will get an email explaining in detail how the tournament will work as well as setting up a Zoom meeting to answer any questions/concerns prior to the start of the tournament. I think this will be a great way to end the school year for many students.
