Michigan School for the Deaf Parents, Students & Staff:

We recently became aware of reports of ticks being found on or around students and staff. The news also reports that this is a bad year for ticks.

Our Tartars’ health and safety are always top priority. We have contacted Rose Pest Control and they were on campus this week. Our staff have been asked to check students after they come in from playing outside. We would also like to remind our families to check children after they have been playing outside, but especially after playing in or around sandboxes, tall grass, or woods.
